Meet Dr. Tim Cujdik, DVM

Since he was 7 years old, Dr. Tim knew he wanted to be a veterinarian. This is his story…

Dr. Tim's very first job was at a veterinary hospital. Even as a high schooler, that experience was the initial step towards a career he knew from an early age he would purse.

While a student at the University of Maryland, Tim also worked for the NIH (National Institute of Health), studying the effects of thyroid hormones and corticosteroids on physiologic function. During his tenure at NIH, he coauthored many peer reviewed published papers still referenced today. At the same time, he received his EMT certification and developed a CE program for EMT’s in Charles County prior to graduating.

Research was rewarding, but Tim yearned for a more hands experience with the animals he loved, and left NIH to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine at University of Tennessee.

He graduated in 1992, and returned to his Baltimore roots to begin a veterinary career that has spanned over 25 years, practicing at Main Street Animal Hospital, Vinson Animal Hospital, Old Court Animal Hospital and Hunt Valley Animal Hospital.

What distinguishes Tim and his practice is his passion to go that extra mile to make sure everyone is comfortable whether it's a special kindness towards his patients or added time with their parents so they understand and have all their questions answered. He loves everything about veterinary medicine, especially dermatology and every aspect of brachycephalic breeds, the adorable "smush faced" pups we love so much!

In his free time, Tim takes pride in a long and successful show career in the U.S. and Europe with his Old English Sheepdogs and Bulldogs.  He also loves cooking and gardening in his home in Greenspring Valley. But his favorite pastime is loving on his Bulldogs Agnus, Hazel and Etta.

He is currently at Fulton Animal Hospital as he awaits the opening of his very own clinic, Paws Up, in the next few months.

…and here are his animals!
